August might have been a quieter month but lots of planning and plotting was going on behind the scenes. Here's a little taster of some - but not all! - of what's to come in September!
This Friday, September 1st, Peter is part of a panel of five in a live broadcast organised by our friends at AlzAuthors. These five panellists first chatted two years ago and so it will be fascinating to hear about changes, thoughts and to discover how they are still endeavouring to live well with dementia. If you want to join this event, there is still time: RSVP: Everything You've Always Wanted to Know About Living with Dementia
We are very excited that on 7th September, Peter will be joining 100 plus Suffolk GPs for an online talk on the diagnosis, post diagnosis process and how he lives well. This is a wonderful opportunity to disseminate his message to those who have the scope to make positive changes.
Next weekend it's off to London for us all for an overnight stay. We will then be cycling in an event called Positive Spin organised by For Brian CIC (Peter is one of the patrons for this charity). Look out for pictures of a Suffolk man on a penny farthing hurtling around London! Whilst it might not be Peter, the chances are quite high that it will be.
On September 13th we are back doing the library rounds, this time in Ipswich's main library (10.30 - noon - do come along!) and finally on 21 September Peter will be speaking at an event organised by Home Instead as part of World Alzheimer's Day.
Oh, and a new challenge is being hatched even as I type...involving a penny farthing...more to be revealed shortly.
