We are almost at the end of the #GLT (Great Library Tour - shame, the hashtag didn't really catch on!) and today we rocked up at Framlingham Library for the penultimate talk in our series of library visits. We have presented some version of this talk (don't forget, Peter's talks are unscripted and invariably will differ from talk to talk) at 7 of the Suffolk Libraries.
The talk was in the old Court Room at the top of the library and brought back memories for Peter of a day in in 1979 when he was fined by a judge for a misdemeanour which he still maintains he was not responsible for and which, apparently, I am not given license to expound upon.
As ever, Peter focused on how to live well with dementia, the importance of a healthy lifestyle and how a positive mindset helps him to keep one step ahead of his dementia monster. And we sold six books so I, at least, will be able to eat heartily this week.
Many thanks go to the librarian, Vivia Bamford, for, not only arranging the morning's talk and for her welcoming display on our arrival (picture one), but for her tweeting and publicising of the event. I'd say her almost obsessive social media activity is pretty well on a par with mine! And judging from the hilarity displayed in picture two, I'd say we all had a great deal of fun today. Maybe time for a caption competition....
