Men’s Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Networking Event

This was a slightly different talk from the ones we usually deliver. In a moving and inspirational speech, Peter addressed this packed event in Kesgrave and shared his own insights into the men's mental health.

Clearly there are crossovers between dementia and depression but, despite it being a deviation from the usual talks, Peter managed to capture the essence of his own experiences.

It was obvious from the applause and feedback (and, yes, even some laughter) that Peter's words resonated with so many in the room and, for once, this was not about hard selling our books (although I might have tried!) but more about hearing about a subject which, up until now, Peter has skirted around.

I think it's safe to say that, along with the elation that both Peter and I experience after our talks, this one left us emotionally drained, too.

Postscript: Martin has just pointed out that the photo attached is mainly of women - once an IT/spreadsheet man, always an IT/spreadsheet man, eh? To clarify: the event was about men's mental health but clearly women attended too. OK, Martin?
