No Wheel too Big, No Wheel Too Small (Inner Wheels also fit)

There are so many puns to be had around headline writing using the words Inner Wheel.  But, as hard as it was, I made the mature decision not to flog this one to death.

Last night Peter and I spoke (ah, there’s the pun connected to the Inner Wheel) to members of this group.  When I agreed that Peter and I should attend this talk, I had some reservations simply because Peter (by his own admission) does not function as well in the evening as he does during the day.  However, I need not have worried.  Here is part of the email received this morning:

Dear Deb and Peter

What an amazing team!  Your presentation to the Club last evening was amazing.  We all very much enjoyed meeting you both and hearing about ’Slow Puncture’.  Without exception we learnt so much about what it is like living with Alzheimers and how we can all help when having conversations with people who suffer with the condition.

Sometimes when Peter and I give presentations, it’s hard to judge the general mood or receptivity of the group but I could see that everyone was engaged and the queue to buy and for us to sign books after the talk was certainly gratifying.  But the biggest take-out from the evening was that everyone seemed to have learned something about living with Alzheimer’s and that is exactly Peter’s objectives when we deliver our talks.
