The Norwich Science Festival

Deb Bunt

Next month, Peter and I will be part of a panel at the Norwich Science Festival for a discussion around dementia. Below is a description of the session, taken from their brochure:

What does ‘recovery’ here mean?

Dementia is a progressive illness, but are there better ways of living despite having a life-changing condition? Join progressive researchers Professor Chris Fox, Juni West and Dr Jane Cross alongside those with lived experience Peter Berry, Deb Bunt and Geoff Fenwick for a lively discussion on social interaction, supporting family and friends, and engaging in joyful activities. Plus book signing. Tuesday 14 February Times: 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM Cost: Free, booking required Age Recommendation: 15+

The whole theme of 'living well' is a perfect one for Peter and his expertise and lived experience will be central to the discussion.

This event will be posted on various social media outlets so keep your eyes open and, if you are in the Norwich area (where I believe the customary greeting is "how ya doin'"), then it would be great to see you there. The event is free but booking is required.

Peter is pleased to be a patron of For Brian CIC -  an evolving concept, co-produced by its directors in collaboration with its beneficiaries living with dementia. The company aims to empower people living with dementia and their families to design support that meets their individual needs, providing agency in challenging circumstances. Cycling plays a huge part in their existence.
